The extremely intense color heralds the aromatic power and softness that are later found during tasting. It is a dry and austere distillate, which does not indulge in cloying notes: the aromatic profile is dominated by spices (cloves, pepper, nutmeg, anise, liquorice, tobacco) and by the hints given by the barrique. However, the scents of the raw material used are not covered and are instead accompanied by notes of plum, candied fruit and dried fruit such as hazelnut and almond.
